The trend to take care of ourselves and to care for the environment is taking on a prominent role at our tables. At El Racó, this is also seen on the wine list, with an organic option among the red and the white wines. Organic wine, unlike conventional wine, is prepared using grapes from fields that are only treated with natural organic fertilisers and is preserved and bottled with no chemical treatments.
One of the wines that comes from this respectful process is Mas Picosa, a young red wine from the Designation of Origin Montsant. Aged for four months and made using Grenache (80%), Syrah (40%) and Merlot (10%), it is the first organic wine from the Celler Capçanes winery. Its cherry colour, an intense aroma of ripe fruit and a lengthy finish that contrasts with its youth are some of the notable features of Mas Picosa.
Its intense, yet fresh taste means that it pairs ideally with white meat, as well as any kind of pasta or pizza. This is why it is a wine that we love at El Racó. Enjoy a bottle of Mas Picosa for €11.50!
